The alchemists drew a circle inside a square inside a triangle inside a circle and called it the recipe for the Philosopher's Stone. We draw it over floor plans. In Miami, where salt air corrodes the careless and the light forgives nothing, every site arrives as raw matter awaiting its nobler state. When a space is transmuted with intention, the person inside it changes too, and that second transformation is the one we are after.

The Space That Sustains
Sulfur is the principle of body, the part of matter that holds and burns slow. We choose stone that shows its grain and timber that admits its age, set on structure meant to outlast its first owner. Nothing here is clad in what it is not.

Salt is what remains when everything volatile has burned away. We build for that remainder, pulling light down vertical planes and leaving enough emptiness for the mind to settle. What elevates a room is what we refuse to fill.

The Founder
Jesús Pacheco
A landscape and interior designer with Peruvian roots and more than sixteen years of building in South Florida, Jesus wrote the acclaimed book The Art of Landscaping before opening this studio. At Casacor Miami his work won the 2019 Social Media Choice Award and returned in 2020 as The Awakening House.
